New Year’s Resolution?

Have you made a New Year’s resolution?

I’m pretty sure we all have at some time or another. According to Forbes Magazine, 46% of us make resolutions about getting fit, overhauling our diet, and generally looking after or improving our bodies, but here’s the shocker – only 8% of those resolutions are kept!

It’s a well-known phenomenon amongst me and my colleagues who teach and work in gyms that the busiest month will be January but by March the tumbleweed will be blowing through the nordic trainer and the treadmills will be squeaking from lack of use….!

I think part of the problem is that if you’re not used to training in a gym, it can be hard to know exactly what you should be doing in order to achieve your fitness goals – it can get pretty boring grinding out the miles on a treadmill or doing the same sets of weights.

Even if you are a seasoned gym pro, sometimes you can get into a rut or your fitness has hit a plateau and you’re not quite sure how to progress.

Both these and similar scenarios can really sap your motivation and this is when you should call me šŸ™‚

One of my clients told me that she really likes training with me because she doesn’t have to think about it – I turn up, we work really hard for an hour and that’s it – hundreds of calories burned, muscles toned and cardio-vascular system pumped!

So, if you are thinking about your health and fitness this New Year, drop me an email, give me a call or send me a text and we’ll get cracking!

I’ll be posting regular blogs with handy hits for various aspects of training and keeping fit and comment on the latest news and research about health and fitness so even if you’re not booking sessions, check them out – I’m sure you’ll find something interesting!
